‘Tis the season for marriage proposals! Getting engaged during the holiday season brings about a flurry of excitement among family and friends - and anxious activity for the newly engaged couple. Where do you begin?

The urge to plan every stage of your engagement and wedding in an instant must first yield to these three important steps, saving you time, money and wear-and-tear on your nerves:

·     Reserve the ceremony site and reception venue as early as possible once you have settled on a working wedding budget. Often, ceremony sites and reception venues are already booked 12 to 18 months in advance, so timing is very crucial.
